Prepared Slab
Your existing concrete is ground and pressure cleaned so the system bonds to sound, open concrete, not dirt and old sealer.

Bonding Primer
A thin penetrating primer that locks the topcoat to the slab. This is the layer that stops flaking and peeling down the track.

P5 Anti-Slip Topcoat
Shield Coat Step Safe Heavy Duty, spray-applied at 2 to 3 mm. The texture is set coarse for wet zones or fine for barefoot areas.

UV Wet-Look Seal
A clear UV-stable sealer that locks in the colour, resists staining and gives the finish its fresh, just-done look.
The full system is water based and rated P5 to AS/NZS 4586, the highest wet slip rating, with a 7 year manufacturer warranty against flaking, peeling and cracking.

What is concrete resurfacing?
Instead of ripping out your concrete and pouring new, we grind and prep the existing slab, then build a new surface over it: a bonding primer, the P5 anti-slip topcoat and a UV wet-look seal. You get a brand new looking, certified anti-slip surface at a fraction of the cost of replacement.
What does P5 anti-slip actually mean?
Surfaces in Australia are wet-slip tested under AS/NZS 4586 and given a rating from P0 to P5. P5 is the highest rating available. The Shield Coat Step Safe Heavy Duty coating we use is rated P5, which is why it is trusted around pools, on steps and in commercial and aged care settings.
Will it feel rough on bare feet?
No. The texture is set to suit the area: coarser for wet zones like pool surrounds and steep driveways, finer for patios and barefoot areas. You get the grip without the sandpaper feel.
What colours can I choose from?
There are 36 colours on the official Shieldcoat chart, including Colorbond colours, and every colour is available as a plain finish or a multi-coloured fleck. We bring the chart and samples to your quote so you can see the real colour, not a screen version.
How long does a job take?
Most residential jobs are done in a couple of days depending on the size of the area, the repairs needed and the weather. You get a clear timeframe with your quote, including when you can walk and drive on it.
